OK, so i've decided that seieng as everblight are a damn hard army to fight against, i need to take my losing streak into my own hands and start collecting an everblight army.  Cheesy
i'm just wondering if anyones found any interesting everblight paint schemes other than the official white body, black armour one - i'm liking the evil icy feel of it, but would like to do something a bit more creepy and ethereal.
On a vaguely related note, I'm planning on doing this army in a quick and effective style - no tartans like on my trolls or no excessive OSL on my circle for example!
i have however taken the few everblight models I already had (the starter box, and a teraph) and sprayed over the black undercoat with white, but, (here's the twist) only spraying the white on from a 45 degree elevated position around the miniatures, so it retains the dark black/grey underneath the model and in the recesses, but makes the top of teh mini still all white... so what i was thinking was using this method to get an almost natural outdoor, fresh, clean, winters morning light feel to the minis, using the natural gradation of how light (ie spray paint) would fall from the sky onto the minis, and then use washes and inks to create the colour... but in a way thats not all narnia-esque, one that still has a dark, menacing, otherworldly edge to it.

anyway, thoughts, inspirations, CMON links all welcome in my search for a quick but cool looking white/light paint scheme (bizarrely R's cynwall elves spring to mind right now!)

I need to take some pics of mine but basically, my lot have a similar colour scheme to that of PP's, but distinctive enough to keep me happy. I'll try and link some pics later.

The flesh is Ghostly grey with Grey Blue (I mix GW and Valejo paints on my Legion) armour plates that are shaded to German WWII Grey. The claws are bone with a Dark Flesh base. The spines of my creatures are made to look sore by using Warlock Purple.

Armour I've done in Blued Steel and leather in Imperial Purple.

At the moment I've got two locks (Lylyth and Rhyas), 2 Shredders and a Harrier.

I fluffed up the greenstuffing of my Carni and so I'm pulling a strop there. Sad

id be tempted to paint them in blacks, greys and whites. imagine Alien and you see what i mean. i did a tyranid army like it once and it looked really great.

i could do em blacks, greys and whites, but that would be too simliar to the official scheme for me... also remember the previous edition of tyranids when they went a bit odd with the metal carnifex and tyrants before they did the lovely plastic ones they currently have - when they did that, the tan and red official scheme and then the black and white scheme with red markings as teh alt scheme... also my tau are all white, grey and black (and red details / trim)!
hmmm... photos would be cool Taegmar.

when/if I ever get back to painting and gaming, my everblight will be (hopefully) the same as the ones in No Quarter-tale of 4 armies from the last few months, the colour has a bit more about it than just monochromes.

ah yeh - the kinda corroded yellows and greens - like the verdigris metals... yeh - that was pretty cool... not sure its the quick washes style i'm looking for - i have found this on CMON that might be fairly easy to replicate.
also quite liked the patterning on the wings of this one too...

infact a lot of haley's stuff is pretty damn nice - especially liking her wasabi - def the best of that model i've seen. also a very cool female dwarf.... and something for atacam's sheer painting - christmas angel

Here you go Moog. Hope you like 'em...

Lylyth = http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f159/Kelvidar/Miniatures/Everblight003.jpg I did this one first and I didn't like the skin in the end. I also had to repair her cloak as the first time I photographed her I dropped her. Bleh.
Rhyas = http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f159/Kelvidar/Miniatures/Everblight001.jpg & http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f159/Kelvidar/Miniatures/Everblight002.jpg
Harrier = http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f159/Kelvidar/Miniatures/Everblight008.jpg, http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f159/Kelvidar/Miniatures/Everblight009.jpg & http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f159/Kelvidar/Miniatures/Everblight010.jpg
Shredders =

Agreed all look fantastic I wish Lylyth's cloak was blue like Rhyas's I would vote 9/10 if put on CMON for quality of painting

 Shocked

Thanks guys.

I did Lylyths cloak in a tanned hide effect to emphasise her more of a huntswoman. I plan on getting another and redoing her anyhow (when I get off my arse and do more)... plus there's the epic yet to get.
