OK, so i've decided that seieng as everblight are a damn hard army to fight against, i need to take my losing streak into my own hands and start collecting an everblight army.
i'm just wondering if anyones found any interesting everblight paint schemes other than the official white body, black armour one - i'm liking the evil icy feel of it, but would like to do something a bit more creepy and ethereal.
On a vaguely related note, I'm planning on doing this army in a quick and effective style - no tartans like on my trolls or no excessive OSL on my circle for example!
i have however taken the few everblight models I already had (the starter box, and a teraph) and sprayed over the black undercoat with white, but, (here's the twist) only spraying the white on from a 45 degree elevated position around the miniatures, so it retains the dark black/grey underneath the model and in the recesses, but makes the top of teh mini still all white... so what i was thinking was using this method to get an almost natural outdoor, fresh, clean, winters morning light feel to the minis, using the natural gradation of how light (ie spray paint) would fall from the sky onto the minis, and then use washes and inks to create the colour... but in a way thats not all narnia-esque, one that still has a dark, menacing, otherworldly edge to it.
anyway, thoughts, inspirations, CMON links all welcome in my search for a quick but cool looking white/light paint scheme (bizarrely R's cynwall elves spring to mind right now!)
