So I just spend a mind numbing 5 minutes taking an old magic deck out of it's sleeves to use with the FF fate deck, only to find the FF cards are *slightly* taller than your average card protector. There's 1-2mm sticking out of the top. This is most annoying.

I'll try to find out what format the FF protectors are.

Okay, I've just had a look at the Freebooter ones I have, which Werner says are the standard Ultra Pro ones, so it's not a proprietary Freebooter format or anything nasty like that. They're 67mm by 79mm and a Freebooter's Fate card fits in comfortably with room at the top as well. Could they be using a different standard format in the UK?

Sorry, I really should get the hang of this measuring thing one of these days. The protectors are 67mm by 92mm, i.e. the 2 5/8" by 3 5/8" format.

There are two standard sleeve sizes.
Normal (6.5 by 9cm): these will fit: Magic: The Gathering World of WarCraft Huntik Dinosaur King AT-43 Confrontation WarCry Doctor Who Baseball cards Match Attax Pokemon
And a whole bunch more
The smaller size sleeves are intended for Japanese card game cards (like Yu-Gi-Oh!)
I haven't seen the Freebooter's Fate cards but my guess is that they will use the industry standard of the 6.5 by 9cm sleeves.
