Question about skilled move

The rules of skilled move state:

If the warrior has moved at least one square before coming in base-to-base combat with an enemy, the enemy cannot move until the end of the round (unless it has the Titan aptitude). Place a Skilled Move token by the target.

Does this mean you can place a skilled move token next to EACH enemy you pass, while you're running around in this mode? Or only the ones you end up standing next to?

For those interested, I also asked on boardgamegeek, and here's the answer I got:

Both Skilled and Expert Maneuver allow the active fighter to target ONE enemy fighter. Base contact with the target is required and ends movement of the active fighter.

I didnt know the answer as it is a while since I played Hybrid tended to only do the maximum move mode, or fight/defensive modes
