Interesting, but too expensive to be of much practical use.

the Mk III armour looks cool, but the clip placement on those bolters completly ruin them for me, if you don't do some proper RT style bolters why bother with them in the first place.

Yeah. I am so tempted to try and get some locals into 750 point games so I can get some of these.

it would be lovely to consider a pre heresy army, ive wanted a pre heresy world eater army for years and years but it would cost me about £500 with those prices which i just won't even consider.

Which is why I would look at 750 - 1000 point games. Still not cheap mind.

I have no probs stopping at small points as I think 40K is ace at small points and really looses it when it tops over 1750 point. What ideas then mate?

i'm the opposite i don't think it truly comes alive til you hit at the very least 1500pts with 2k being optimal. the thing i dislike with small games is you loose 1 unit and your army is essentially going to struggle from then on plus it's difficult to include anything but cost effective troops and bare bones HQ choices. basically im saying i'd feel mean about taking mephiston in 750pts games

I expect that GW has seen to it that small games are duff to squeeze every penny out of their customers. But in the olden days, we use to have 1000 point tournaments at the local GW store. They were ace. Named characters are banned etc. Good days.

ah i see. i think it could still work with new 40k possibly more so. i think im just hooked on large scale battles...if i want a smaller game i always gravitate towards skirmish games and if i want to play small 40k i have gorkamorka and necromunda to whet my appitite.
i think the small battle thing was turned against me when i worked for GW back in the day. playing thousands of small games with smelly 13 year olds might have poisoned by view of them lol.
