Cadwallon will be Rackham's
first entry into RPG's. Due to debut later this year,
it will enable players to inhabit the fictional city
from which the game takes its name - Cadwallon, the Jewel
of Lanever - an independent stronghold in the middle
of the territory controlled by the Cynwall Elves.
Sounding
familiar so far?
That's
because Cadwallon takes place in the same game
world as Confrontation, Ragnarok and
Hybrid. What's more, the same characters and factions
you find in those games are inherently linked to
this new RPG. We're due a few surprises as development of the game
is ongoing - the system is said to be a mix of both 'traditional' role playing with a tabletop element (there are already
a number of Cadwallon miniatures due for release) and
the character creation process looks set to offer a fresh
take on the good old dice rolling for stats approach
we all know and love!
What
is certain is that the high levels
of care and production on this new
system will
be as lavish as you'd expect, and offer yet another
top notch Rackham product for roleplayers
and wargamers alike
